Grrrrrrrr Arghhhh (x3) lol
Why is this happening?
I have x3 Whinges!....lol

Whenever i'm trying to do something, such as-:
Editing and/or Forum stuff etc
This annoying window keeps popping up (See Problem 1)
P.S. I'm not running any movies/videos etc (I never do anyway)!!

Problem 1)
ADOBE FLASH PLAYER 10
A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player to run slowly,
your computer may become unresponsive.
Do you want to abort the script? YES NO

Problem 2)
WINDOWS  IE8
A few days ago when i turned my computer on,
I walked away for a few mins and when i went back to it, it was updating or installing windows 8?
something to that effect.
So, now just about every time i turn my computer on, it will show up as, nothing has been installed or upgraded or whatever?...And pops up again asking if i'd like to install/update??

Problem 3)
QUICKSALES SIGN IN PAGE
Since the new sign in page has included sign in (Or) sign in with your facebook (Which i don't have)!
I sign in as usual, and the humungeous window just stays white, so the only way to see if i'm signed in (Or)
to make this window vanish, i have to "Refresh" every time........Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I've never had this happen before, so why is it doing this now?
Please Explain...In simple terms....How can i fix these hiccups!!

Thank You Most kindly In Advance.
Regards Kat

problem 1

You need to increase the execution time for a script

but before that what browser is it happening on ?

Windows 9 is the latest , so it may have updated to that . To check > open IE and on the top tool bar under Help > About IE > and it will tell you what version your using.

If your not keen on your PC updating by itself you can set the setting so  that when any updates are available it will tell you and then you can custom install anything you want to update .

Hi Issabella.

I think it's ie7 ?
I can't remember how to check that!...lol
I'm hopeless with technical stuff! :(

Problem 1)
ADOBE FLASH PLAYER 10
A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player to run slowly,

If this happens on any site that has flash content, then follow these instructions. Uninstall flash by running this application - http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Reboot to clear out any left over ocx files.
Reinstall flash from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ making sure you choose the correct version for your machine.

If this happens on one or two sites that have flash content, then there may be a problem with the flash files from the site. Not your fault, but the designer of the file.

Problem 2)
WINDOWS  IE8
So, now just about every time i turn my computer on, it will show up as, nothing has been installed or upgraded or whatever?...And pops up again asking if i'd like to install/update??

This should solve your problem - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949220

Problem 3)
QUICKSALES SIGN IN PAGE

Try cleaning the browsers temporary file cache.

Firefox - Tools -> Clear Recent History
IE - Tools -> Internet Options -> General tab, and select the delete button under Browsing History.

Hope that helps

Cheers

when I click either..send or don't sent the window keeps popping up even if I am not on line. I'm so sick of it I just drag it down to the bottom of the page and leave it there.
My Laptop has another window that pops up on that one but goes away when i close it.

I know what you mean I keep getting..NMIndexstoreSvr.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

NMIndexstoreSvr.exe is part of Nero Scout. The easiest thing to do is disable Nero Scout.

Open "My Computer", make a right click on "Nero Scout", select "options". Uncheck the box “enable Nero Scout” to disable Nero Scout.

Unless you need to catalogue all your media files, then it's no problem to disable this utility. It's part of the Nero suite. Just another unnecessary application as far as I'm concerned.

Laptop now on message states...ArcSoft Connect Daemon has encountered a problem and needs to close...
once I click on it, it goes away until the next time I turn on the laptop.
what does it mean? how can I get rid of it please..
problem solved with nero on desk top.thank you.

Ok version 7. To remove the Nero Scout, click "START" then click "RUN" and type this or simply copy and paste the following

regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib\MediaLibraryNSE.dll"

The Arcsoft one, go to Start -> Run -> (type in) msconfig -> Startup tab -> uncheck the ArcSoft program and  reboot.

Hopefully that will stop these silly messages popping up at you :-)

That deregisters the library file for Nero Scout, so it shouldn't run anymore. As it showed a succeeded message, it worked. Nothing else will popup running that command, unless it couldn't deregister the DLL. Don't forget to disable the Arcsoft one as well. Reboot, and all should be good.

We had the exact same probs ourselves about a wk ago. We did all the updates like you, cleared cache & cookies, defrag & check disk over & over. Nothing helped. So we turned off all add-ons between IE & Chrome....works fine now, but good luck. And yes Bananas/Maryvale Computers is definitely a bloke - good one too & an asset to this site. G'nite all, cyas. :)

smss.exe is a session manager for windows. The bad news is that it lives in C:\Windows\System32 and not the location you mention. I'd scan for nasties, preferably in safe mode. Do you have another set of eyes to look at this problem, as it is starting to appear like another problem appears when one is fixed.
