Gold Plated vs Gold Necklaces or Gold Coloured Necklaces?
I was just wondering if a Costume Jewellery is Gold, does this mean it is Gold Plated or have I used the wrong words in my listings please?

Because when I was showing someone the "Gold Plated" jewellery I had the said it's Gold but it's not plated, can someone please elaborate on that, has I have no idea what she meant by that?

Thanks in advance,

Warren.

P.S When it comes to Jewellery I have no clue.

Perhaps 'gold toned' might be a better way to describe the jewellery.

I think 'gold plated' means it is only covered in gold with another metal underneath.

Most costume jewellery is gold toned or silver toned.

Real gold as in 9ct is usually marked 375 - with 18ct marked a different number etc. depending on how much gold is incorporated into the item and so on and so on.
