Foundation: Maximum coverage, Minimum Cakiness
Im looking for a foundation that I can use that will give maximum coverage to my problems spots (pimples/ undereye) without giving the cakey after effect or making me look 10 shades darker. I used to use a Revlon, but havent been able to find it :(.
Ive tryed Sheer cover, its crap, so what do you suggest?

I'd love to know myself what's a good foundation.

I had a funny experience when I was looking at one called nude something or other, which is like sheer cover and no matter how hard I tried the sales lady basically said that it won't cover any spots it;s just a light mineral make up. I repeated so if it doesn't cover anything and doesn't even out skin tone then what does it do? and she said it's good to put on top of other makeup - so I said ok so you're telling me that it doesn't do anything then! Seriously, it defeats the purpose of trying to find a light foundation.

clinique do some moderate to full coverage foundation, without adding more oil to the skin. Dior does a couple of full coverage makeups too (but more expensive) you can PM me for the specific ones. The roll -on foundation has been tried and tested, it gives sheer coverage, not full coverage!

Thanks ladies...
Im not sure how good the roller Idea wopuld work......
We have a chemist specialising in Clinique just downt he street. Maybe Ill go in and ask them. Im not the type of person that likes spending a huge amount on foundations, because I hardly wear them.

Anyhoo... Thanks again ladies:) And you too EJ

Mineral foundations ( but good ones!)  Theres many good and some not so good.

When i first tried minerals i swore black and blue to never again but found out i was just given the wrong colour, havnt turned back since, honestly it was hideous until i used the right colour and right brush, dont use those little brushes they are useless!

I switch between id bare escentuals ( my fave )  loreal minerals, and the nude by nature is very good too.

I love a good heavy coverage and like the look of makeup when done correctly yet its so light on the skin and not heavy at all and always have a flawless look and get comments constantly by strangers.

They will also help you out with skin problems too.

Avon are about to launch their new upgraded mineral powder foundation in a month or so and it will e interesting to see if its as good as they say it is.

Foundations are the basis of good makeup ( after skin products that is ) and if you dont get the foundation right then chances are you wont like the rest.

Minerals ( good ones ) will stay on all day long and you wont really need to touch up unless its been really hot and sweaty but even then very minor touch up , I think they are the best thing since sliced bread and will never wear a 'wet makeup' again.

Everyone female i know justabout I have convinced to switch to minerals and have taught many of them how to use it and they havent looked back purely to them seeing me wear it and asking what I wear etc. I so know I should have invented it LOL!!

Oh and oen last thing use a good kabuki brush or flathead brush they are both great for minerals and comes down to preference but make sure its dense.

Most people think that when you tip some in the lid then swirl the brush that its to get the powder into the brush and thats it, its simply not the case....

The HUGE SECRET with applying mineral makeup is to swirl it in the brush in the lid to not only get it up into the brush but more so to heat up the product, it applies about 50% better again when warm and gives you an absolutely more flawless look that you will marvel at, get it warm and apply it.

They are also great for light coverage too of course.
