Finding Express Lister Files
My computer died and my hard drive was OK and on this temporary computer I have 2 hard drives.  I have down loaded Express Lister (no problem).  When I go to tools I get this message =  This function will restore data from your Previous Version of Express Lister which could not be found in the default folder.  Please find and select the sys.bin file in the custom installation folder you chose when you installed your previous version of Express Lister. I have NO idea what sys.bin file means.
Having 2 hard drives Express Lister has loaded on the new hard drive.  Does this mean that I would have to copy and past all the OZtion information that is on the old hard drive to the new one.   I did a search and there is 75 components for express Lister on the old hard drive.
I can get all my present selling into Lister but I have 100's of listing in files that were not listed.
Hope someone can help me please.
Thank you in advance.

EL is a stand-alone program so it does not save data ( on qs) to be transferred to another PC . Once you re-install EL it's a totally new set up.

You will have to import those files from the old hard drive to the PC your using now and import them back into the new EL and hope it works. Frankly I haven't had much success with re-importing back ups .

Hi Isabella,  Thanks for your reply.  I have downloaded everything from my selling and unsold and got it all into files with NO problems.  What I was hoping to be able to find was all the new listings I have been working on for weeks and they were just sitting there waiting for me to get time to do the postage costs.  Never mind will just have to start again.

Hi,

I have a developed a program that can make a backup of the exported XML files from EL and also has the option of saving your images. Let me know if you're interested in evaluating my program.

cheers,
