Fake Tans - What is the best one to get so I don't go orange?
Hi,
I want to get a fake tan but the couple of times I use them I go orange.
Is there a secret to using them?
What is the best one for fair skin.?
I don't want to look to dark just a healthy tone.

Hi, personally have never done it, but was a topic of discussion on 'The Circle' this morning, seems exfoliation and moisturizing is important, just google if link doesn't work

I find the self tanners that take a few hours to come up are the main culprits for going orange/yellow.

Best to get an instant tan mousse (quite a few companies make them) and put it on with a fine make up sponge, so you don't color the inside of your hands while you're at it - haha

Once it's on, go over it again with a slightly dampened make up sponge and it will even out nicely.

And as others already mentioned, lots of good preparation for an even skin surface will also be a great help.

are you talking about tans you do yourslef or ones you  get done ?

i've had a few & I found the best place to get them done - except - it's probably a long way from you !

I found them by looking on a ch- 9 ( ACA ) story about spray tans - about 18 monthd - 2 years ago
I then checked for salons near me \

I've since had 3 tans at other places & NOT happy with them
The one place that had the "good stuff" is about 35 mins from my place & I tried ones just down the road ( hence the reason)
You must loofah - and NOT put any cream/s or deoderant on before
nothing on your body- at all
they do the entire body - & I am FAIR SKIN - I've lost ha;f my arm to skin camcer ( serious) almost lost my arm - and also took bits from my chest- face & legs ( these weren't big bits- just have scars now )

My arms the nasty one - so- I don't go out in sun now- at all and look like a ghost

a spray on tan costs about $35 - 40 and last about  ( EDIT) 2 - three weeks - gone by a  month 
shower without soap stuff ( special stuff $5 bottle)  use moisteriser to smooth over the tan
wash hands immediately & use lemon on areas that are orange 

I found it worthwhile- I got done about 2- 3 days before the "event" I went to
I have tried the home ones and found a waste of money- they are $12 - $15 and turn out streaky & orange
also- wipe the knees - ankles- elbows ( joints) after dpraying- as they will be a LOT darker

I have noted they cost a LOT more than they use to ! now $50 a tan !!!
