Express Lister + Seller Preferences
Hi All,

Ok am finally taking the plunge and have downloaded EL... Hoping not to regret it!

Am wondering how to automatically include your seller prefs such as postage, payment etc when uploading items.

Looking forward to your kind assistance and hope you're all having a good night

Thanks!
M

Seeing as nobody else is here, I'll try

I found the Instructions helpful  www.quicksales.com.au/content/0012005/help/Lister/onlinemanual.aspx

I'm pretty sure I put my postage etc details in Quicksales.

Go to My Selling then go to Selling Preferences down the left.

When I uploaded it put them in automatically.

I think.

I hope that's right.

Thank you for your reply :)

I just tried listing one without adding anything in EL but  knowing that all my seller prefs are up to date and correct in quicksales online but when I went to the listing - there was nothing there and I had to mannually ask it to load my preferences. Surely if you are linked to your selling account it should know be able to upload your seller prefs automatically? Surely?

Thanks again

Make a listing using EL , and add the relevant info in the postage/payment sections.

Then save that listing as a Template .
That way for each next listing you can use the same template.

( open EL , under File - New Listing - Use Template - 'select' your saved template . You can do this multiple times

Thank you :)

I still can't believe that even though its linked to your seller account it doesn't give you an option to sync with your account but appreciate the heads up.

Thanks again

sorry , had to do something and thought of something else

when you have listed your listings and uploaded them using EL.

Go to your 'Preferences" on My Account  on qs (not in EL)  enter the details you want to show on all listings and just tick the boxes as required and  'save' the page and all your listings will have the same Preference details.

I do it that way , as it's easier to bulk edit any changes that way.

I leave my EL listing details for those sections empty.

G'day  mary ,
As you have found, with the Quicksales engine, the synchro is manual .... from within your selling preferences.

It seems that a lot of sellers here prefer the freedom to be able to tailor their shipping & payments to suit their listings .... different items, different rates, + or - Paypal, etc .. as a lot of them have diversified listings.

As issy mentioned, many choose to make a "categorised" template and use that as the base point for creating listings. That system does work well and EL allows you to make as many templates as you want. ....

As an aside, may I suggest you look at Temando ...

http://www.oztion.com.au/content/0012005/help/Sell/temando_FAQ.aspx

The savings are marginal, but every item is trackable express and the satchel size is most generous. The 5kg AaE satchel is the size of a pillow case !!!
And the satchels themselves are free ...
Everything can be insured for 1.1% of the sales price with no minimum ...
They will also pick up from your workplace ....

Cheers ...

If you have already made a number of listings in EL you can bulk edit the seller preferences in EL (select them and then go to 'actions', from memory). Add your preferences and then update them all. Then use a template for new ones, as suggested above.
