EL security risk
I just tried to open my EL and it retrieved an update and installed it, my Norton scanned and removed the whole thing EL, backups, everything.
Who's tinkering this time???
I will download and start again (for about the 6-7th time in 3 years) but this is getting really annoying, this program has a lot of bugs

I have used el for years and never had a problem.... Norton on the other hand is a pain in the rear end, caused more issues than it fixed. I switched to another security program and have never looked back.

Yo need to add it to thew safe programs list.

Got rid of Nortons years ago as it is useless - repoves programs but lets viruses into your pc

Have to agree with everyone else here.
I ditched Nortons as nothing but trouble.

Yikes , that's no good . But as mentioned check the settings for Norton or if you have a genuine copy of Windows you could use Microsoft Security Essentials ( free)  and ditch Norton.

It's likely it's not EL that's is an issue but Norton itself.

Not an ID 10 T error, after removing all traces of el from my computer I then downloaded a new copy and it is working fine with no problems.
And as I said in the original post, it was an  el  update that upset the apple cart.

I dumped Norton years ago, too many problems. I've been using McAfee ever since, not one problem.
