Do it yourself diet...
Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has done anything like Lite and Easy where they deliver calorie controlled meals to your door, then gone on to do it yourself, were you successful?  I've had meals delivered for a few weeks, but am scared to take the step of do it yourself!

Cheers

I have never done the Lite and Easy style of diets, mainly due to lack of funds.  I did however follow the "Flat Belly Diet" for a few weeks and that uses a guideline of 400 calorie meals 4 times a day.  Hubby and I started working out our calories based on that and found it pretty easy.  We are about to start it up again as we are both having a "Fat and Frumpy"phase lol.

You've just put your finger on what is wrong with those diets where all meals are delivered. You dont LEARN the lifestyle changes necessary to not only lose weight, but to keep it off. However, you must have some idea now of the two things you have to learn - (1) WHAT you can eat and (2) HOW MUCH you can eat of those foods.

If you are worried about weaning yourself off the delivered meals (and surely youy are a bit bored with them by now, not to mention the money you have spent?) , then join WeightWatchers. They will teach you the two basic concepts you need to successfully lose weight and to keep it off. Yes, it will take willpower, but it soon becomes a habit and even if you 'fall off the wagon' some time in the future, you will still have the knowledge and skills to get back on again.

Good luck.
