Do I need a new Camera.?
To all the Camera Experts.. I need advice.  My camera is a Kodak EasyShareC653.  It has been faultless for past four years, until now.  I have put New charged batteries in it, turn it on and it  will only take two photos and stops.  This happens regularly.  Any help would be appreciated on this topic.  Is it worth getting repaired if needed,or is a new one the best way to go.  Thanking you Pam.

Hi Pam,

It sounds to me that the batteries are on their way out (not holding a charge), I'd be looking around for some new batteries if I were you.

Pam, it could well be the batteries have been charged the maximum amount of times.
With my daughters camera you have to use Kodak batteries, wont accept others.
Hers are 2  joined together type batteries.Marian

I have the same Model Pam and when it did as you described with yours I found the rechargeable batteries I was using had basically expired their use. A couple of photo's was all I would get as well with the zoom lens refusing to open etc.

If you use rechargeable batteries just get some new ones and you'll find it will work fine.
I use Energizer 2450mAh rechargeable about $16.95 for 2

Thank you all for your replies.  Batteries and charger will be the first to be replaced.  Cheaper option.  Regards. Pam.

I just use the kodak easy share C713 and find that any batteries work well in it.  I had reusable batteries for the camera and computer keyboards and mouses and found them basically to be a waste of money.  I tried all the ideas on prolonging their life but they carked it.  One of the best batteries I found that lasted long in the camera was the Coles brand AA's.  Believe it or not they gave just as good life as the duracell's.
