DigiFrame A4 Rechargeable Scanner
Hi Guys

We are new to Quicksales and just wondering if you can offer any advice at all?  Just a few questions....
1.  How long did it take for you to get your first sales
2.  Can you suggest any ways of encourgaging customers to buy from a new seller?
3.  I can't seem to get rid of the spaces in the text on our listings.  Do you know how?  If you check out our listings you will see what I mean.  Although I delete them and save again they still remain..... Getting frustrated LOL

I would appreciate your suggestions and hope you are all having a great day !!!

Hi and welcome to Quicksales!!
It might help you if you were to have a BLUE forum id so that members can click on your name.  I don't know what your username is so can't look at your listings.  To get a blue forum name, simply email Admin and ask them to do it for you. They are super quick and very friendly and helpful.
I'm not sure how long it too for my first sale, it was too long ago to remember! lol  But, just a suggestion. Perhaps buy some things to get your ratings up.  They don't have to be expensive things, just something so that potential buyers can get an idea on what sort of person you are from the feedback left.
Have you been selling elsewhere?  Perhaps direct them to your new shop.  While I'm on the shop subject, do you have a shop?  There has been some great changes here lately and having a shop has been one of them.  Click here to see the new changes and certainly worth looking into.
Spaces in your listings..... are you using COPY & PASTE?  I suspect you might be.  Try and open notepad first, copy your information onto that. Then copy directly from notepad, then paste to your listing.  It should then get rid of all the spaces but it will also make everything plain.  Personally, I use a word document but that's just me.  You can also try EL.  A lot of people have had success with it.
I agree, very frustrating as I've been there and done that myself but, there is light at the end of the tunnel so keep persisting.

If you type Digiframe just in the search on the selling at the top  digisale2011 is the ID.  That should find me :)

Hi Digi and Welcome to QS.
I just checked out your items.
All looks good to me.
If you sold on ebay and have a feedback rating there you can transfer that feedback to here. not sure how to do that but it has been mentioned in the forums a few times you might be able to search for that info.
sales could take a while as you don't have a large variety.
the bigger your range of products the better chance you have of selling something.
also as Nara suggested if you buy from other sellers that will help build up your feedback.
I didn't notice if you have verification like with credit card. phone. post office. those are some things that buyers look for in a seller to knew they are genuine.
also...yes contact Admin ask for your user name to be in BLUE so ppl can click on it. that will take them straight to your items.
you can also use SPOTD=Sellers Pick Of The Day. this can be used up to twice a day to advertise your items. this is the only place we can advertise.
also look in WANTED see if anyone is asking for items you have..if so you can put in your item number, this too can help with sales.
Good luck.

Hi dig, and welcome to Quicksales. Have patience, it will happen for you in time, you have only  been here a couple of weeks and have just a few items for sale, it will take time for them to be noticed.

A little friendly advice - it is against the rules to advertise in the general forums, that is reserved for the SPOTD forum only. Some members may see your thread title as a blatant advertisement for what you sell and it may be reported and subsequently removed by the forum moderators.  If you need help and come to the forums to ask, be sure that the title of your post reflects the subject you are asking about and not your items for sale.

In regards to your the way your listings look , while you only have  a few listed it might pay to try and use a Template ( and save that)  and see if your copy/pasted info slots in better . Other then that all I can suggest is that you set up 1 listing here manually and copy paste that info into subsquent listings.

If your copying from another source that might be why it's showing the way it is.

I'm not sure buyers would feel comfortable handing over their Credit Card info over the phone to you , when in fact they can pay via CC through PayPal .
