Did someone break the forums?
Since the 2nd Feb, there are only three new posts in the QS specific forums (one each in Wanted, Express Lister and Other forums).  None in Help, Suggestions, or V-shops. Yes I know there are plenty in SPOTD but they aren't really 'discussions'.

Now I wonder why this has happened?

 I wondered the same thing!
And the listings have gone down by about 25,000 ish. We had over 710,000 a couple of days ago..or even more?
Whats going on?

hmm, does that mean it's working?  I have been away from the forums myself.  Been very sick and in hospital.  Just about back on my feet now. What's happened? Forums gone quiet?  I have been reading a fair bit in the last few days.

No their not broke.
Parents have just gotten to see their credit card bills from christmas and are dreading next months with the school costs.
So they've got other things on their mind.

So unless us chatter boxes talk away even to ourselves then not much will happen at all.

stumpy, there was 720,000 listed only Friday I think it was and today it's dropped back to 684,400! Guess they could all be sitting in unsold or perhaps in queue.

School has just gone back, think parent's could be a little busy ATM.

The forums are often 'swept' on weekends and take on a new fresh no one's been here look

 good morning everyone,

i agree with some of the above.  i think that with this week with kids returning they have other things on their mind.
i personally went to office works yesterday - and it was just packed!
if i heard "oh harry - you arent having that " once - i heard it so many times just with different wording from different parents.
There was one family with a mum an dad and 4 children in tow - each child had a basket with all of their needs - they were 2 up in front of us in the queue - their bill came to just under $600.00 - i saw the mum look at the dad - and then out came the credit card.  i was horrified.  


I am so glad i only have young adults/grown ups in my family and my heart really goes out to families with the younger generation - so im sure that once all the littlies are sorted then things will go back to normal -I would say that the next trending of sales will come from valentines day and then easter etc  - 

anyway i am off to ask 2 questions - i just have to figure where i should put 1 of them.

Hi all. don't forget there are a lot of flooded places in Qld and NSW not sure about the rest of the country. then as said schools back.
none of the above affect me personally thank goodness.
I have been busy packing...sorting out stuff for the op shop.
good thing the opp shop I take stuff to has moved to a larger shop, the lady was so pleased with all the big boxes and bags full of clothes that I gave her. also microwave dishes that I haven't used for years.
yesterday I took a lot of clean bedding to the animal shelter.
out of desperation I have to admit I even have stuff listed you know where.. 1st my Son and his partner where going to rent the house from me, that meant I could leave all our stuff here. then a change of plan so start packing again. Then my other son phones, he want to rent the house from us only not until February next year about the time we come home from the UK. so stuff has to go into storage, I was going to try and sell everything but he will need most as he has 5 boys. it would cost too much to bring up what he has from SA or to buy replacement stuff. tossing up now whether to try and sell all or get a storage container. then buy replacement stuff as and when needed.
as he might change his mind again and we might travel more.. lol. ohhh headache time lol.
I don't think I can get 30 years of hoarding from a large 4 bedroom house into 1 x 20' container.

Lately there have been a few births, which is always a sign of days gone by, and very nice to see! 
The friendliness of the forums was so good before!
 richbartim I am sure the animal shelter would have been very happy with your donation! They always need linen & towels for the dogs! Marian

Yep Animal shelters often need linen and towels and bedding .

I once made 50 odd blankies from a roll of flanellete I got for next to nothing at a closing down sale . Sewing machine ran hot for days and the blankets looked great . Double edging so they would wash well and last and just warm enough for our mild winters.

Even old towels are handy for bathing and mopping up .
