Danielle's Dream - Charity for Children's Cancer Institute of Australia
Hi everyone

Quicksales is proud to support Danielles-Dream a charity account fundraising for the Children's Cancer Institute of Australia (CCIA). The CCIA’s vision is to "Save the lives of all children with cancer and eliminate their suffering." The CCIA is the only independent medical research institute in Australia and is dedicated to research into the causes, prevention, treatments of childhood cancer. They ultimately seek a cure for childhood cancer.

All fees, including Platinum vShop fees, sale fees and promotional fees have been proudly donated by quicksales. All monies raised via Danielles-Dream will be donated to the CCIA.

Please support this much needed cause by buying an item or two from Danielles-Dream, or donating to the CCIA directly.

 Hi Everyone
I was going to wait til tomorrow but have had so many inquiries- I thought I best reply now :-)
( isn't that great- so many messages of support )

Anyone who wishes to donate a listing can - but the item MUST be sent either registered mail via Australia Post or via Temando with insurance

Send me the listing number and cancel your listing
I will place in the shop
I will then email you- that it's there - and get you to check it ( make sure I haven't made an error)

When & if someone buys- I will email you
as soon as items paid- I will again message you
Then- you send & message me the registered mail or temando number and I will send off to the buyer

Please make sure the postage has the amount for registered mail or temando insurance

Please make ALL messages via the Quicksales system- so all is transparent

Sellers can send the items to me but if they don't sell- ( ??? )
there's the expense of posting them back- so, I would prefer this first  option

If you do wish to send them to me- please message me & I will get back to you

I'm logging off soon - as I have been flat out since 6am & it's my mums borthday today - she's 88 :-)
so- better spend "some" time with her

Thank you again - EVERYONE - I love this site and have always said the people are the best

Will be back 1st thing tomorrow so see you all then

Cheers everyone - you are the best

Well done QS !!!

I have a few items to donate...is there a reason they must be Registered Post?

My items are small...and can be delivered quite safely without it

Pash , I'd say having items Registered avoids any 'non received' issues that could crop up as it appears items sold don't necessarily come direct from the OP etc.

If it's ok I might have an item soon to donate to as I'm working on a few new Bears , might make a Pink one but they take a while to create so keep an eye out

Hi Bella .. We've worked out I can offer some gift certificates. That will fit in with my free post items as well . Then the buyer can choose which way to go. I haven't had an item go missing as yet.. But yep what you say makes sense.

I encourage other sellers to offer up a gift certificate it two

 Hi Guys

Issabella is right :-)
If a parcel goes missing - then it's covered with insurance and buyer / seller
and more important     ME     ( ha ha )         are not out of pocket

It's only an extra $3 for that safety & peace of mind :-)
or
You can donate a gift voucher  to be spent at your shop
The beauty of this idea is -

( and this event MAY be on TV - I cannot promise it will be mentioned but my niece was interviewed by Today Tonight

NEW Buyers coming to Quicksales - can buy a gift voucher for say $12.50  and get $15 worth of items

The charity gets $12.50 and the buyer pays $12.50  but gets to have $15 worth of items from YOUR shop / listings

This means- new buyers will be looking at your items and hopefully buying more than One item !

The gift certificates need to be a priced a little less than their value-
Say a $30 gift certificate  for sale @ $25

Hopefully- this event will not only make money for research into children's cancer-
but will help our sellers get new buyers !

who knows :-)

Dreams do come true and Danielles Dream is a vision I'd like to see

Children without Cancer - wouldn't that be lovely

 Hi Guys
I'm listing all day today & tomorrow

I'm sure every member will either buy - donate "something "

This fund raiser MAYBE on TV - soon :-)
fingers crossed-
( I'm hoping it's mentioned  :-) )
I have items arriving from various football clubs - and members

Items include - to come- a LIMITED EDITION   Hawthorn FC Lithograph SIGNED 2011 poster
Caps from Western Bulldogs FC
Nth Melb FC Caps

More coming :-)

members can list- then end that listing
send me the item number via the QUICKSALES SYSTEM

As soon as I can- I will list the item ( please look at some donated items - to see )

Members who cannot afford to donate items or  donate gift vouchers
or  cannot spend a lot of money  --  can make a "token" purchase for  $2 , $3, $5
with 100% going towards finding a cure for future kids
YOUR  FUTURE  Grand children

I actually have no children - myself- hence- I will not have any grandchildren
so WHY  do I bother???

because I saw - 1st hand - what a baby born with cancer -
what happens and I don't want this to happen to another child

I don't want this to happen to  Another  Family's  Child
or  Future  Child  or  Future  Grandkids
or
To   YOUR  Child
or
Your  FUTURE  Childrens  Child / Children !

WE  might be able to HELP  stop this happening
to ANOTHER family

It wont stop the pain of Danielles' family -
Nothing will

One in Five  is a  REAL  RISK

Those 2 words
" Children & Cancer "  --- should not be in the same sentence

When and "if" it makes it to the TV- I really  REALLY  want the Favs to be FULL of names

To show the world what a great site this is
&

how generous Aussies and New Zealanders really are :-)

cheers :-)

PLEASE  WATCH  THIS  VIDEO - the entire photos are within 2 weeks

This is the Childrens Cancer support who took these photos of Danielle ( in the hospital)

It is - Gotta agree Nara 120 :-)

For those who don't know- Donations  GREATLY  ACCEPTED :-)
I have approx  100 items to list- and will be doing nothing all week but listing

please-  keep watching :-)

I've contacted many places and am trying to get this mentioned on TV -

I have been extremely unwell and have had a LOT of help from members-
especially Frantic fran17 :-)
Thank you Fran

without her help- I would have had to close shop- until I was better -

I am better ( thank goodness ) not 100% but  BETTER  and will start to get it "started" - as best I can- ASAP

so- please- keep checking the listings- as there's plenty to come

OH - the 11 days for Sept raise $177.50  &  $23.50 in excess from members.
so-  $201.00   for  not even 2 weeks of Sept- which IMO - was pretty good -

In future
I will be listing MONTHLY any excess ( it will appear as an item -  purchased  by hobals )
members - staff & the CCIA can CLEARLY see excess -

Any member who feels they have given me too much can  CLEARLY  see it there -

I want this to be a transparent as possible - so ANYONE & everyone -  can see what's been collected etc

Septs excess has  been listed as 9th Oct
as I missed the 30th Sept -( Due to illness )
Item # (13045728)
I felt this was the best option to be sure the money is "accounted for "

I shall put the item numbers down in future and will list them here over the next week- what is what :-)
cheers

 Hi Guys
had a terrible few months - mum fell and fractured her back in 3 places- mother in law fell & broke her jaw ( has metal plate in - she's still in hospital) she also fractured her jaw ( opp side) and broke her hand / wrist
Neighbour went into hospital for knee surgery and I have been unwell
so- have had a full on few months

OCT   $140.95
Nov  $1,029.50  (  $1,000.00  of this, is  from a friend  of mine )

so, Q/S sales for Nov.  $29.50

I haven't worked it our properly- but will do that and get the extras paid and the postage etc done

hubbys down with his family- visiting his mum ( she's 90 ) in hospital and gets back this week _ thank goodness
we also have gotten a rescue doggy- Suzshi- 5 years of age and doing "OK " - she's "getting there"

My niece- who had Danielle - is pregnant and having a baby in May ( I think it's May )
I have 18 nieces & nephews- no kids myself- so this wont affect me - but children DO get cancer

One in 20 chikdren will get cancer- and of these- the CCIA are fighting to save them
They need 1/4 of a million dollars to HELP find a cure

PLEASE  HELP

i never thought that possible for a child to get cancer or be born with cancer- let alone die of cancer
but---- they do

if every member gave $1 or $2 - they'd  have a cure !!!

I don't have kids to worry about - or grand kids- so Childrens Cancer isn't something that is going to happen to me !

Children & animals are helpless and NEED us to help them

The CCIA  needs funds --- for a CURE - a VACCINE  to prevent this from happening

If anyone can find a cure for this- it's the Aussies !

 Hi
I do hope he has a healthy & happy future ahead:-)

I read today- that AUSSIES have discovered a new form of fuel- where we can turn WASTE into OIL !
( edit- I should say it's not human waste but agricultural waste )

The outcome  for this is just wonderful & Virgin airlines are going to use it ( So I read today )

Aussies have invented how to get DNA off Cigarette Butts ( and showed the rest of the world ) with people going to jail for serious crimes

we have discovered a cure for Parkinsons - which they believe will be in the hospitals in approx 5 years - we have discovered the vaccine for female cervical cancer

we are the BEST

We also have made a HUGE  break through in Alzheimers ( sorry about spelling)

Aussies LEAD the world in so many things and

Kids Cancer can be one HUGE breakthrough - with 1 in 20 getting some form of cancer

I swear - I NEVER thought it possible for a baby to get cancer- let alone be born with it !
It just stuns me --- everytime I think of it that I felt I MUST try to do "something"  to help

I do NOT have kids
I will not have this problem with my grandkids- as I don't have any kids- I cannot have grandkids !

so-  I wont be "touched" by this- personally

I hope no one will be- but the sad fact is - people are and please- help make it a healthy Xmas and a healthy 2012 for some kids- the CCIA needs funds DESPERATELY

Please- everyone- help make this a TRUE  XMAS  Gift -

Cheers
