CRISCO - Hampers
Hi
I haven't got one but saw a LOT  of complaints here on Oz about the hampers from the big two companies

I just wanted to let you know- in Sydney on 2gb- Chris Smith ( radio personality)  has had over 1,000  emails  from disgruntled  buyers & Chriscoes wont reply
He has TOLD them to reply before noon or he is going to them !

If you have had a problem - you can get to him online via their web site (  2gb  dot com dot au)  and maybe he can get you some help & satisfaction

Most have been "partial"  delieveries

Thought I'd let you all know & I do hope it helps getting what you paid for
cheers :-)

Chrisco, was delivered to me about 2 years ago and over $1,000 worth of goods went missing. I filed a police report and sent it to Chrisco and they sent me another batch. This time the truck rolled and it made news headlines here. Then just about 1 week before Christmas we got a call from them to say my order was waiting in another town which I told them to do. So we loaded up the kids and went down to collect and everything was there. I have not ordered from them this year as I want to proved hubby a point. Cheers to all.

Hi All
Hubby and I ordered Chrisco 2 years ago and never had a problem with any of the hampers we ordered. I have just gone through the process of ordering it again last night for next year, thought id get in early. The problem is that there are more companies now who are competing against them, so who is the best to go throughf or your hampers.

Weigh up your options, and check the books out.
CAMPARE BETWEEN CHRISCO, CASTLE HAMPERS AND I THINK THERES ANOTHER ONE CALLED HAMPER KING NOW....
HAPPY SHOPPING
IT IS CONVENIENT AND BRILLIANT WHEN IT ARRIVES.....

Hi Guys,
I am an Agent for Chrisco and have 3 boxes of goodies, each has come separtedly,
All the items have been what we were after, not expired, or thrawed out as Currant Affair had said.
Our last box of goodies is comming on Wednesday.
The only thing I am a little disapointed in is the little gifts and cards that used to be in the boxes.
The only thing I have got so far is 1 christmas card.
I will still be getting Chrisco next year it saves me a lot of time and it paid for thought the year.

Hi all, I am an agent with the above company and have been for 6 years now, I still stand by them as being the best in their field, sure there are many in competition against them, but this is still the best value in town, last year I went all out paid $100 each week and received $4000 worth in one lot, couldn't have been happier, this lasted me approx 6 mths with a family of 5 to feed. The intentions behind this was to enable me to fund my gift-line, which alot of you guys benefited from. I must say it worked! So I still say given the amt of orders these guys have to contend with, they do a great job, don't be so quick to dismiss their intentions, even the best make mistakes... I will be with them till they actually do something 'wrong' or mistreat me or my clients in some way.. if you don't want to be with them or know about them well don't... but please remember one thing word-of-mouth can be devestating.. no-one is perfect guys, especially US!! thanx bec

Alair if you are paying $100 a week that would total $5200 after 52 weeks so what you are saying the company has profitted $1200 plus that added interest on the money??

I still think it would be cheaper to open up an high interest account and have them automatically
deposit $100 per week into that account. Youll have more money in the end and the interest goes to you!!

or did I read your post wrong???

40 weeks is correct, I also had a total of $4000 paid to me in commission from all my 40 client's orders so I actually got the whole lot back so as to speak, but I still say they are the best.. and yes they do make mistakes, but who doesn't? bec

There's no point comparing Crisco Hampers to Castle Hampers.

They are the same company, and have been so for a couple of years at least.

I have bought Chrisco hampers and gifts for the last 3 years and have had no problems at all
I can't buy off the other 2 companies ( Castle or Hamper King) as they do not deliver perishable goods to my area.
Will be staying with Chrisco and have put my order in for 2008

Just as a point of interest for those concerned, I actually use chrisco for all of my sweets included in my 'Unique Gifts' they are made up of good quality lollies, chocolates, savouries and more. Because I only have to worry about the delivery once a year, I have ample enough stock to supply all my gifts as they are sold... just thought I would let you guys know as to the quality you would be receiving. And too add, if there is $20 or over spent through my shop at this time you will also receive a BN Chrisco santa sack, (only while stocks last) at no extra cost to the buyer, thanx bec

As I said early I too love Chrisco and as Bec said with the little extras I tend to give them as gifts as well.
To me Chrisco is great save time in shopping, as for the price I look at it this way for the 2008 hampers you are paying Jan 2008 prices not Dec 2008 so if there is a price rise of anything it doesn't effect you.
Yes I too am an agent, for a few disabled friend who can't get out like most, and I alway find it hard to get out and shop at this time of year with the extra stock the ilses are jamed packed most of the time you can't get a wheelchair down the ilses and prams would also be a pain.
This time of year I hate (don't get me wrong I love Christmas) I just hate the shops for all there stock or should I say were they put them, the shops I can normally get into with no hassells, this time of year forget it.
Sorry had by Vent!

Hi
I don't buy Chrisco or any other hamper company
BUT  in the last 10 days I have seen one thread after the other about members complaining about their hampers being " out of stock"

One member said she got a toy hamper- for her nieces & nephews & was told last week that it is not going to arrive - as they have "run out"
another member said only half her items arrived - the rest out of stock
another member said  she got nothing at all- all out of stock & she ordered last year !

2gb  in Sydney has had OVER  1,000  phone calls from people complaining about  no  items arriving in their hampers ( just food)
It appears to be mainly the  "items"  not the food ! ( toys -  poker games etc)

The radio said that Criscos have not returned their calls to explain !

If you have a business & you have 1,000  hampers of  kids toys- you do not take orders for 1001  hampers !
If you do- then you provide another hamper BETTER  than the one promised !

If you check the threads you will see these members are in deep trouble- now not having the gifts & only having one week to get them when they still haven't had a refund
Maybe those who do work for Criscoes - where it is that company involved- could help them - somehow !

1,000  phone calls in Sydney alone and  numerous  complaints in the forums - If I was going to  ever get a hamper- I wouldn't now ! ( Criscoes or any company ) for the reasons stated-
If they promise they will deliver toys @ Xmas- then they should ( IMO ) deliver toys- if not exact same then as close as possible but must be  better !

2gb  wants the CEO  to call them & I know 2gb (  Alan Jones station - I cannot stand him )

I  happened to hear this on the radio about Criscoes & felt that all the members who were complaining in the forums should be aware they have someone they can call - as they said they got no help from Criscoes !

2gb  wont leave this alone until someone does speak to them - Maybe  those above who do work for Criscoes could help the members who are having such problems ! One member was EXTREMELY  upset - as all Xmas presents were in the hampers & none were arriving !

Cheers :-)

I will send an email to Chrisco stating what I have heard here, maybe there is something we, as a whole can do, as I say until they do wrong by me or ANY of my clients I will continue with them, and as stated before, I have faith that honest mistakes can indeed be made, and obviously have. I will update if I hear anything in regards to this, thank you bec

Was on the news tonight channel 10. The CEO Mr  ? Hill was saying that Chrisco is
having delivery problems and will be refunding buyers money. He said that they
have already started contacting people since Saturday. A lot of people will not
be receiving hampers due to a new type of delivery procedure that was put into place
and has caused problems. ( ? wrong data on stock available etc ).

Interesting, they are using Aust Post this year for toy and gifts.I had to have mine sent to a friends address as you couldn't change delivery details after September 30th and one is missing,I asked AP to redirect the rest, paid $12 for it and they both still went to my friends address, she then had to pay $18 each parcel to pot them to me.Last year on the other hand,I bought a bbq off them,TNT delivered and I changed my address 1 week before delivery with no problem so maybe Australia Post is the real culprit coz my food hampers all arrived without a hitch.

I figure I might as well add my two cents worth as well LOL, for the past 2 years we have done Chrisco with no drama, BUT this is the last time we are doing so, we are now going to bank the same amount of money per fortnight. I just don't feel like we are getting value for money and way to many sweet treats for our liking.

I feel for the people who have missed out on hampers , but I am sure they will be compensated in some way.

Just found this story on Yahoo news, don't know if it will help anyone or not, but I hope you all get your refunds & have a great Xmas:

Up to 30,000 people who ordered hampers through Chrisco this Christmas could miss out due to delivery problems.

The company says a glitch in a new system introduced to manage hamper deliveries is causing massive delays.

Chrisco CEO Lee Hill said the company was contacting affected customers.

"As of Saturday last week, we made a call that where we couldn't absolutely guarantee that we could get the hampers to our customers on time, that we would proactively call them and offer them a refund to ensure their grocery needs are met before Christmas," Mr Hill said.

Customers in Queensland and New South Wales are worst affected.

Chrisco has set up a toll-free number for more information: call 1800 830 830 or visit www.chrisco.com.au.

Hi Guys,

Well the last of my hampers were suposed to be deleivered yesterday, but no delivery and the phones at Chrisco must be flat chat I have rang them 3 times and the recording just says to ring but as they had a huge call wait.
I do feel sorry for the receptionist who take the calls as its not there fault, but as its the first contact a week ago I spoke to someone and she said I was so kind as everyone was abusing her.
I am one of the lucky ones I guess reading about everyone else.
I am an agent not that that has any pull.
I have got this feeling that I won't get our deleivery by Christmas but I guess I will have to keep ringing Chrisco and hopefully get though and fine out if their is a chance of getting our last box before Christmas.

Hi guys, no update as yet, but I do believe everything happens for a reason, for this I do not know the reason behind it, although I am sure this is not an exception, To be loyal to something you wholeheartedly believe in is a strength all of us need to adopt, Please take a moment and consider the feelings of those who do work at Chrisco as the above post has stated it is not their fault and abusing the operators is not the way to handle this, it is a delicate matter that needs to be dealt with, with diplomacy and tact and please be sure to wish your operator a very merry xmas and a happy new year as it has been said IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT! and no-one deserves to be abused at Xmas least of all them, they're just doing their job. thank you bec

Also there was an article the night before where alot of their stuff was dumped in a tip area at blayney. One customer was on there and yep her boxes she is missing were there as someone took pics and sent them to aca.

I thought this thread was dead - it is 1 year old after all.
Well I got my Chrisco Saturday and all the boxes were there.
All the frozen food was frozen - icypoles a little soft but put them straight in freezer.
The pantry petite pack was a waste of money and I wouldn't get it again.
Other than that we had 3 different orders in our family and they all arived by lunch time.
I have already put in another order for next Christmas.

Just thought i would put my 2 cents worth in..

My son is a Truckie, after leaving Darwin, and reaching the outskirts of Perth.
He come across an accident. A Roadtrain had flipped over..
You guessed it.. It was loaded with Christmas Hampers for Perth and regions..
So i guess a few people will miss out.
Not sure if many or any boxes survived the rollover..
Also people may not know about the accident..
Son didn't know if it was Chrisco, Hamper King etc..
3 trailers full so would be thousands of boxes..

cinnamon, a road train gone down families could understand the consequences, I feel for them but accidents happen.

alair777  I don't give a fig for the staff at Crisco I saw 20 minutes of tv last year 20 minutes of parasites plundering and getting Christmas cheap off the backs of honest hard working Australians who never received their items - money back - big deal, they didn't get it back in time to pay for Christmas and many never even got to celebrate christmas - with no food and no gifts.

GOT IT WROKNG BIG TIME ONCE - GOT CAUGHT OUT ON TV IN THE ACT - What sort of Management or Admin do they have to pull the same routine again this year - excuses excuses - and they have no valid excuses, because a management meeting in the New Year wouldn't have allowed this to happen - and with all their bad publicity they would have/could have /should have been very sure of any contingencies and plans they put in place.

NO EXCUSES.

I fully understand you fury, I do know however that the truck that rolled over this year, was in fact an accident, I work in the hospital that the truck driver was admitted to. I also know first hand that the load he was carrying was in fact chrisco and other hampers, and that the goods were retrieved instantly as there were at least a dozen trucks, vans sent to deliver the hampers to their intendees. I surely hope not too much damage was done but I am also sure the company will compensate. The road was closed so as this could be done efficiently. I feel for those who were done wrong by last year and I don't condone the actions of others but I still stand by this great company. As I stated before we all make mistakes even us at Oztion and we should not be penalised by them, we should all just learn from them and move on. This is a strange world we all live in and one of those things is how we live our lives. We all have a right to vent so go ahead vent away. Have a great Xmas.. bec

Do you realise the ROAD TRAIN INCIDENT  has nothing to do with the complaints flooding the radio station in Sydney - no one would hold a company responsible for an accident, but if you read what the OP has written, it has nothing to do with the WA incident, and they refused to speak out last year also.

I can tell you bec, given my month this month, I think I will join you in your country life it sounds great

What is happening is the same scenario that happened last year - non delivery, won't answer phone calls, even though the company stated they are answering calls, seems no one can get through - families who don't have excess money for Christmas staples, and aren't sure their hampers will eventuate, so they don't know what is going to happen over the next week - and then they hit Christmas..
