Chain Holder Thingy
 Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone can tell me the name of a tool I found on my many internet travels.  It is a holder/clasp thing (U shaped), that holds a chain out so you can add charms or work on it.  It frees up your hands so you can work better.

Not sure if the description helps, as I've tried all the sites I can remember being to, but can't find it and can't remember what it was called.

Thanks.

If you Google "Bracelet holder" & click images you might find it there. Some of them look easy to make yourself :)

Thanks for that Samboogem, I didn't even think that, maybe coz it's quite late and has been a long day.  :-)

Anyway, tried it and guess what I found??  Yep, a chain holder thingy.

I haven't seem one of those before but I do have some thing like it.
I got it from the Warehouse it is metal with a magnifying lens in the center and peg like clips at either end to hold items. I find it very handy for lots of little jobs adjustable too. cost less then $5.

Thanks Richbartim, I would love to see it, as it sounds like something I could use.  Any idea where I could get one from as I'm in WA.

spotlight? I only know I got this from The Warehouse.
I use it a lot for all different things.

Thanks Richbartim, that is perfect.  I haven't seen one of those before, but will keep an eye out now.  The magnifying glass is excellent, saves squinting, that's for sure.  We don't have The Warehouse, but we do have a Bunnings so I will try there, our local Spotlight doesn't have much either, but I will try there too.  Thanks!!

That looks like a Third Hand, used for soldering jewellery.
The magnifier would show up the tiny bits of work and maybe a Loup would not need to be used.

You could also try Jewellers Supplies. I have a solder-station, with two crocodile clips and arms that I can angle to any position,
