Can somebody help me with this pc game please and tell me
what an expansion set.
ok best way for me to explain is:
i have a warcraft frozen throng game - it has underneath that writing expansion set.
SO does that mean that you have to have the warcraft frozen throne game - and this expansion set gives you more whatevers to play it.
OR could you just play this game as is - really confusing to me i know nothing about pc games

As far as I know an expansion is an add on to the original game.  They are cheaper to buy cause you have to purchase and game first then this just gives you more options

Yes you need the original Warcraft III to run this game.  An expansion set is just an add on giving you more areas or things to do etc.
