I need to increase the price of some of my items as the supplier has done the same, can I do this in bulk?

Hello - as far as I am aware - there is no such tool at the moment - they have to be edited one at a time unfortunately.

Good luck with your sales.

In the options on the left side of your selling page under the heading Selling Tools there an option that says  Bulk Update.
You can do percentage price changes in bulk, either to increase or decrease prices. You can't add a set dollar amount like $5 on all listings though.

weiner, I didn't know about that!  Not that I need to use it but handy to know, thanks.

BFUB, you can under My Selling, then to the left choose Edit Listing. When the page comes up, scroll to the very RHS and click on BASIC INFO.  This way is extremely fast when you want to change the basics in a listing. Just hit confirm each time and the listing is done.  I don't know any other way that's quicker.

weinerpatrol  Is that only for Vshops? I dont have that feature. I only have withdraw items, clear clicks, clear watchers, flag & un flag. Marian

I haven't got a shop. Look on your My Selling page, on the far left under selling tools.

Well Thank You for that, I did not think that option was avaialble. I only thought VShops could advertise % off sales! Marian

I'm suspicious that it just puts the new price in without showing what the old price was. There's no indication that you're having a sale, such as an old price crossed out.

The other thing to watch for if you use the feature is that it's hard to restore the original price if you've taken a percentage off, and then want to go back to your original prices.

If you take 10% off $10 you get $9, (10% of $10 = $1.00) but if you add the 10% back on you get $9.90, not the original $10. (10% of $9 = $0.90).

You thought right Marian, only vShops can have advertised sales.  The method above only reduces the prices, it doesn't draw attention to the price change in any way, the buyer will not know the price has been changed unless they happened to have seen it previously.  There are no alerts sent to watchers and favourites either, and no additional exposure from the price decrease.

It's not a way to have a sale, just a way to reduce all your prices at once.

Thats a shame it doesnt show the old price crossed out, at least sellers could have  a SPOTD sale if it did. Marian

take-your-fancy, to flag something means you put a little red flag to the left of an item in your selling list (or your Unsold or any other list).  Go to your Selling page and across the top you'll see a little grey flag just to the left of the word Title in the headings.  If you hover your mouse arrow directly below that flag and beside any one of your listings, a small box will appear.  Click on that box and a red flag will appear beside that item.  To remove the flag, just click on it again.  Sometimes it takes a couple of seconds to appear so be patient.

It's handy for reminding yourself about particular items and it's easier than using the drop-down menu on the right side to add a note.  I have a heap of my stuff flagged as part of my system for how I manage my listings.  You can use it for all sorts of reasons - it's up to you.

I never knew about the bulk update before.  Is there anything you DON'T know about the site, weiner?

Edit:  I never realised you could flag in bulk before!  It's probably just as easy to flag individual items one at a time as it is to tick the boxes one at a time and then do them all in bulk anyway.
