Baby/Kids Clothing
Hi Guys,

I just wanted to ask all those sellers out there that sell baby/kids clothing. Can you give me some pointers as I have really only listed womens clothing before. Do you still take measurements for babys/chidrens etc?? Little Miss 2 ranges in sizes 2-5 so I guess measurements are important. Is there anything else?

Many thanks in advance

Gal

Hi Gal,

I haven't generally listed measurements when i've listed kids clothing but after reading a post a little while ago some others feel it is necessary. I guess if you feel an item is more on the smaller or larger size it would be good to mention that or give sizes in those instances when listing but personally I wouldn't expect it on items I was looking for for my daughter. As a buyer, if I wanted to query a measurement i'd ask.

Hi Gal. I list individual listings for multiple similar used items, so if I have say 20 tshirts size 1 or 2, I put them all on top of each other, and if there are any a bit smaller or shorter it will be mentioned in the listing.
Same with little boys shorts, I put the waist messurement before stretching out.
Baby items I do not put measurements and this has never affected my sales. Sonja

I've never put measurements in my listings for kids clothing, but i will mention if the item is on the smaller side, and if my baby wore it at size '0' for e.g. if its a small size 1.
One thing i'll suggest, is selling singles or sets rather than bulk lots of kids clothes (from my experience anyway) as my bulk lots just take so long to sell? Once i seperate them, then those exact same items seem to sell much quicker? I noticed you had some little shorts and a tshirt all matching, that seems to be very popular having matching items in one lot rather than a mixed lot. (hope my rambling has made some sense Gal!)

Thanks B&B I have done a few items with measurements from the tags.. and also listed the item weight. Hopefully this should be enough. Thanks for all the advice guys. Take Care

I think most people look for measurements - I know I do now.  Although my daughter is 11 (12 in March) she is a size 10/12 bottom and 12/14 top or even a ladies size small because she is welll bigger on top than most 11 years should be  and I have to make sure the top isn't too tight.

Just a measurement across the front and top to bottom is usually enough - that's all I do in my listings :)

From size 2 onwards I always put measurements in. But for size 1 I only do if it's on the small/big side or if it's a brand that's smaller/bigger than the usual. :)
