Babies felt slippers
Are those felt baby slippers that fasten up with a little black button & have a bell on them still around

They were great for my kids many long years ago, you could hear where they were

My 9 month old grand daughter is about to walk , & she is going to be a little devil, she thinks she is just so smart trying to get away from me with her fast crawling. I'll never keep up with her once she starts to run, it will be such a help if I can tell where she has ran too

no i know what ones u r talking about blue for boys and pink for girls they were so cute and soft for the little feet , towards  the end they put little eyes on them instead of the bells as was a safety hazzard ,and next thing they were gone ,to be repaced by these horrible hard ugly slipper they have now lol so u will just have to run faster lol ok

Thanks for your reply

It's the same old story,  if it works don't play around with it....If it's not broken don't fix it

,to be repaced by these horrible hard ugly slipper they have now lol so u will just have to run faster lol ok

Her mother has brought her a pair of them,  now I could understand those slippers if she was a doll but not babies feet.  & those rotten things fasten with vel cro, now I think vel cro is great stuff, but not for smart alick babies, who don't want their bib on,  so just pull at it until it's off, then just give you a smile,   that says ha ha ha,   it'll be the same with her slippers

As to running faster........... it will be no LOL matter when she does

I had those slippers for my kids, and they didn't suffer. I looked everywhere to get some for the grandies, but alas...gone but not forgotten.
My cuz has a brand new pair that she won't part with :(

Maybe a clever member can make them?

If the bell is a health risk, maybe it could be cleverly concealed?
Just a thought lol

tmbjewels  If you change your mind about keeping them, PLEASE let me know

Otherwise I'd be very grateful if you could take a photo of them, not only the top but also the soles.  If I remember rightly the soles were grey & made of some type of soft leather

What I've got in mind   stumpy said   maybe get a clever member to make them

That got me to thinking,  my brother in SA is a semi retired bootmaker,  if I could show him what I wanted, it may remember his kids wearing them & make some for me.  Sadly he wife has passed away so can't ask her

I'd need to send him a photo & the out line of GD's foot

But if someone here can make them PLEASE message me

They were quite basic, so they shouldn't be hard to make. I do recall the sole not being felt though!
Hmm I have some felt here lol!
Wonder how ambitious I am lol
EDIT the sole was non slip I think!
maybe the strap should have a velcro closure instead of the round black button?
