AM I reading this wrong.......

So, are the PO's open but no deliveries... Are the people who work in the post offices not classed as AP staff????.....

A lot of post offices are franchises and they are not AP staff.  It would be just another trading day to franchise owner.  My local post office is a franchise and they are definitely not AP staff.

Some post offices will be open, but there will definitely be no post deliveries on Friday.  It has been this way for many, many years for Australia Post, they have an extra day public holiday.

My local PO is a franchise.  They'll be closed on Friday 30th this year.  Last year they had to stay open, even though there were no mail deliveries.  Why the difference between this year and last year?  That's anyone's guess.
