International flight ? You can only carry x amount of liquids.

Domestic I don't know .

Just check the Airlines webpage , it will have all the details there.

Yes it is fine to take it on a plane.

You may need to inform staff at the airport though so they can inspect it , if you can take satchets and empty bottles the flight attendants will fill and warm the bottles for you , but once again it's best to check with the airline.

There are so many changes it pays to have things sorted before arriving at the airport and find there are problems etc.

Yep you will have no problems with it in the check in luggage, ready made up bottles for the plane trip would have to be cleared by the airline people first though.  Liquids of more than 100mL has to go on checked in luggage.

would the airline really have a problem with me raking a ready made bottle of milk for my baby of 200mls? or even taking a 600ml bottle of pepsi max on the plane?
Replied by kitzymoo on 12-May-2010 10:38 (Ref 2136453) Report
Yes you can take tin formula in your suitcase and you can take made formula (liquid) on board with you. No water or pepsi or anything else. Just show the staff prior to boarding- usually when you are about to board :)

STRAIGHT FROM MY FLIGHT itinerary-tomorrow........Qantas...........the government only book Qantas, cheeky...........
Passenger Security:
- For security reasons, all knives, sharp objects or cutting implements of any kind and length, whether of metal or other material, knitting needles and sporting goods must be packed in your checked baggage. They cannot be carried in your cabin baggage or on your person. If they are, the articles will be removed and not returned.

- On the 31 March 2007, the Australian Government introduced enhanced security measures to limit the amount of liquids, aerosols, and gels that can be taken through the screening point for people who are flying from Australia.

- Each container of liquid, aerosol or gel in your carry-on baggage must be no more than 100ml capacity.

- Passengers carrying hypodermic needles will need to declare them at the screening point. Where possible, documentation or identification to confirm your medical condition should be produced. Medication should have a professionally printed label identifying the medication or a manufacturer name or pharmaceutical label affixed. Contact the airline should you have a question.

- For further information on permitted carry-on baggage please refer to: http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/transport/security/aviation/LAG/index.aspx

Travelling with children
Travelling with children, especially young children, puts special demands on the adults responsible for their well being. Following the simple steps below will help make your journey as safe and comfortable as possible.

Packing your bags
There are currently no restrictions on the amount of liquids, aerosols and gels you can take onboard a domestic flight. This includes baby products, such as medicines, milk or food for your child, that may be needed during the course of your flight. However, if you are connecting to an international flight, or if your domestic flight departs from an international terminal, the amount of liquids, aerosols and gels you can take on board will be limited. You are advised to take this into account when packing your bags.

If you are travelling on a screened service, pushchairs and prams must be screened before you can board the plane with them. However, many airlines do not allow these items in the cabin due to space and stowage constraints. Check with your airline for more information.

Going through security checks
Babies and toddlers must be carried through the passenger screening checks by a responsible adult. If your child is able to walk by themselves, they should walk through the screening point on their own.

For additional information on ensuring you and your children have a safe trip, please refer to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority website.

so r u allowed to take more then 100mls on a flight, cos didnt is sorta condriticed itself?

we have taken my kids insulin and glucose injections before on flights like needles etc and never been asked to show them and have never had any written info from drs to produce if needed, maybe i should lol

cos my kids might not live without their insulin or glucose injection if they went into a coma on a flight.

so many rules mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I might give the airline a call lol

I have travelled International and domestic in the last 12 months, and have taken on to the plane water in a normal childrens drinking bottle and made up milk, both over 100ml with no problem at all, they just ask "is that for the child" you say yes and on you go, easy :)
Dried formula is also fine, they don't care about that at all

The 100ml limit is only for international flights. Domestic flight it is fine. I take a bottle of Pepsi Max on the plane everytime I fly Mackay to Brisbane, which is every couple of months.

Domestic flights have laxed a lot in recent months...
