Anyone with a boat? Advice needed please
Hi....Friends have just purchased their first boat.  A 15ft runabout type I guess you would call it (I'm not a boaty person as you can probably tell)....My question is, the boat hasn't got a name, but my frind has thought of one and as it is his birthday soon, I thought I could get the Vinyl lettering done of the name he has chosen.....BUT so I can work out a price and place my order, what size should the lettering be?  and silly question but I would have to get 2 sets done wouldn't I, one for each side of the boat?......thanks in advance

Depending on the space, some also have the name accross the back.  I'm not a boaty person either.  Might want to check in to see if names have to be registered, I know they have like a car rego number but not sure about registering the name to match the number.

There is a legal size for rego numbers displayed on the hull. Im unsure about names.

Maritime dept in your state should have a website with the info.

hi quotes, yes it does look better to have it done both sides - but i think its up to the person as to what size - so it corresponds with the size of the boat.

have a look in some boat magazines - or boats on the web to get some differnt ideas as well.

boating is fun - hope you get to go out on it as well.
