Any nail technicians - re natural/neutral appearance nail care...
Need to find the right brand (salon grade) nail buffer/shine
I wear my nails natural but occasionally need to buff out fine ridges & would love to polish them up to a high sheen
(without nail polish)
I know it can be done, years ago I had a foam type nail file with several different levels of abrasion.
All I can find locally is $2 shop type files/buffers/shine what ever they are called, that don't do a great job.

Next step would be a french manicure if I can't find the right one, but polish looks tacky quickly with what my hands go through

Any nail technicians that can shed some light.

Maybe place this post in the wanted section...even if there is nothing for sale...somebody may make a listing for you

BTW I know the ones you mean, my sis in law is a nail techie and she had sent me some about 3 years ago, that I still use...they last forever.

Failing finding something on here...maybe ask to buy one off your local beauty salon

Try your chemist for a good file/buff, Coles have some but I find Priceline generally has a few different ones to choose from.

I can't keep polish on for more than a day either!

you want a 3-4 sided nail file or block, you can buy them at most chemists i think.

you start by buffing with the coarser colour and then each colour until the smooth rubbery side.  You can also use a
cuticle oil on your nails to help shine them and put moisture into them.

the more you buff the higher the shine but don't use the coarse files too much or you will buff into your nail too much.

Manicare make a range of buffers that are available in pharmacies/Priceline.  They have one side that is the rubber buffer and on the otherside 2 different grades to smooth the surface first.  These ones are made for natural nails.

Be careful of the ones with four sides as they are made for acrylic nails..

Body Shop does a great nail buff. Also we have a shopping center with a hair and beauty supply shop that stocks 'professional' products for the general public...maybe yours does too?
