I'm with pirate pete, actually seriously considering closing my facebook account because I never use it.

Have not read the announcement so I hope it does not affect those who do not use facebook..........off to read now

I read the announcement & don't have a Facebook account. I closed it ages ago as I couldn't figure out how it worked & was tired of people interested in the surname contacting me.

I've a double barrelled surname & yes I'm a cousin of that British actor so popular now in Hollywood, & no I won't ask him to sign something for you!

I now use the other half of the surname online. It preserves me from all the Transporter & Bank Job fans! Cheers, TTLG.

If your concerned about being anonymous on fb you don't need to use correct details . You can even make a fb page using your quicksales ID - your dogs name etc

"I wanna turn the clock back 30 years!!!  "

Why ???

Life doesn't stand still

No-one has to use the new fb option , so what's the big deal .

Hi all!
When i sign in, this huge box thing comes up to sign in, and when i do,
it doesn't disappear, it's only when i refresh that i can see that i'm signed in.
Does this happen to anyone else??

P.s. I like the old fashioned sign-in homepage!

Why does everything have to be so American?

This F/Book garbage only creates trouble in Australia, there has been so much of it on the News & I will never join it.

It's full of viruses & ad ware as well, no thanks, they can keep it all to themselves.

Never had a virus from fb - still there's always an idiot spreading false warnings which go viral because followers think they have to repost the carp .
Lots of ads that if your stupid enough to go happy clicking on them then yes you could find yourself on a suspect site . Absolutely no different then anywhere else online.

A decent Virus Program will alert you of any issues.

If you would like to try fb ( or other websites) if you use FireFox consider using a ad-on called WOT , which will show you a green/orange/red circle for webpage addresses so you can see if they are trusted before clicking away.

IT's just another social network site , and it get's a huge amount of traffic.

No big deal as far as I'm concerned when it comes to the new sign-in page or facebook.  I never said there was.  I was just making a general comment about modern technology.  I can't keep up with it and occasionally I wouldn't mind going back to a time when life was a lot simpler and there was more time to do things, but I don't live my life in the past.

apparently your youngest great grand daughter is also feisty and arumentative, beating up on the bigger kids. Wonder who she gets that from huh?

All FB gossip you could be reading while making sales and "liking" and "sharing" QS posts.

I had someone from FB here two days ago buying, saw more stuff they wanted, coming back when it's all ready. So it is rather useful as a selling tool.

Also sold some things last week to a lady who spotted me advertising on there months ago and suddenly had a need for what I was hawking at the time. The second items were ones I'd been selling on here for about three years plus and I don't think I've ever made a sale of them here. Lol still haven't as it was through a selling group. But in a perfect QS world I'd have simply "shared" my item on here and it would have been a sale for the site.
