You could always try the forums

But seriously... if you want to access your About Me page... go to "My quicksales" >>> "My Selling", then in the left column (under the "My Info" heading) click on the About Me link

Alternatively... you could go to the "Site Map"... and in the centre column just up from the bottom... you will find the same About Me link

Or... you could always simply use any of the links within this post

Replied by thadeuss on 22-Dec-2011 16:10 (Ref 2325706) Report
 Is that better echo?
Replied by nara120 on 22-Dec-2011 16:11 (Ref 2325707) Report
Yep, agree with echo, bigger font needed please.
Replied by echo333 on 22-Dec-2011 16:13 (Ref 2325708) Report
Even a size 10 or 12 font would be much better.

Also: a very fare price - this should be 'fair' price

but movies is a great passion of mine - should this be 'movies are a great passion of mine'?

Sorry if I am being picky

You have some really good priced items and a few dvds I WOULD buy but no Paypal?!?!?!
That's a turn off straight away as many people will only buy that way, ie I have over $40 sitting in my Paypal account but am finding it hard to find sellers with things I want and accept Paypal.

Hello and sorry but i do not and will not advocate pay pal, and if i did my prices would not be as attractive.
You may want to consider transfering your funds to your bank account!

"Hello and sorry but i do not and will not advocate pay pal, and if i did my prices would not be as attractive."

PayPal fees are small enough to be incorperated into the asking price . You'll miss out on many sales this way , plus more and more buyers wil now only purchase via a secure payment method.

I would prefer to pay slightly more and have the protection and convienience of Paypal and know at the end of the day I will get my item or refund.

Hi guys if you google paypal horrors, you will get an idea of why i am so anti paypal!
For those who have had only good experiences, i hope that it continues...
The truth is though paypal is responsible for thousands of people losing thousands of dollars!
I much prefer the good old fashion way.... After all isn't that why we leave ratings?
Yes i know i am old fashion.

Ratings are after the event.

I think you will find most Paypal horror stories are from those who felt they could do things their way, rather than the way Paypal stipulates.

Admittedly Paypal isn't as attractive to sellers here, as there is no PP seller protection.

The problem with NOT offering a secure payment method is that you are asking your buyers to trust you. You may be a saint, but your buyers don't know that, or you. Effectively they are giving money to a complete stranger in the expectation the stranger will do the right thing. A lot of people aren't prepared to do that.

I offer Paypal and absorb the fees, which generally work out to 10% of item price.
Replied by thadeuss on 24-Dec-2011 19:22 (Ref 2325930) Report
So does paying via PP assure the buyer will receive the purchased goods?
Come on P.Pete lets keep it real... There is no real protection for trading on line, you would have to be completely ignorant to think so.
I don't agree that ratings are for after the event, rather I look at ratings as the good will of a trader😉
Replied by straybooksoz on 24-Dec-2011 20:31 (Ref 2325941) Report
You don't leave ratings until after the event, so yes they are after the event.

Paying by Paypal doesn't guarantee the buyer will receive the item, as you well know. Only pickup does that.

What paying by Paypal does is insure the buyer if the item doesn't arrive. Or Paymate, if they are prepared to pay $50 non-refundable to open a dispute. Or a merchant facility, which is a few hoops to get through, plus  has fees for the seller as well. In fact ALL safe payment methods charge the merchant/seller.

Otherwise the buyer is relying on the honesty and goodwill of the seller. And FYI there ARE scammers out there.

Bottom line re feedback. I would rather get my money back and be able to leave feedback than do my dough and only be able to leave feedback.

paypal is a must i think for just about any online selling in reality.most people use it,& its faster than a bank deposit too,as the funds are transferred straight away.

the reason I first opened a quicksales account was when "the other site" made paypal compulsory - to me listing fees, selling fees & paypal fees on top of that , were too much, so I came here - I had about 116 sales in 2010 - yay!!! last year I had a bit if a break - I listed some more stuff at the end of last year and so far have had no sales at all - i was wondering if agreeing to use paypal would make a difference???

Re PayPal, as far as selling goes, I have not had one request for it, I agree with the cost all add up and at the end, there isn't a great deal left.
I believe although you may sell more, I don't like being at the peril of some corporate HOTSHOTS.....

If a buyer does not see the PayPal Logo on a listing it's highly unlikely they will ask to use PayPal .

Some sellers avoid offering PayPal for other reasons
.
But if buyers feel that using PayPal is a more secure option then it's smart to offer it . Those wanting to use Bank Dep will still do so anyway .

I have about a 60/40 % percentage of Bank and PayPal users so IMO it does help.

You can always try , nothing to lose but maybe gain more sales.
