A SUGGESTION TO ALL SELLERS TO CHECK THEIR LISTINGS IN ORDER TO SAVE FURTHER EMBARRASSMENT
I've seen a few of my fellow Quicksalers post similar warnings in the past...but never thought to check my own listings, as I thought the problem had been rectified by Admin.
This morning I woke up thrilled to see I had some questions about my items, a couple of offers, a sale or two.
I go to send an invoice...and notice that on the invoice, I have sold a Beret. Would be great to make the sale...but I have been sold out since March!
How something I have sold in March can get back into my list is beyond me!
Thank goodness the buyer is a regular of mine...and a very understanding lady....as we had to do a mutual cancellation. None-the-less I was MOST embarrassed
It happened last week, that I saw another listing...again something that I was sold out of magically appear. I just withdrew it, deleted and thought it was a one off.
Now I need to scour through 800+ listings

This, like every other glitch lately is happening way too often, makes me wonder if the powers that be give a hoot for sellers or their reputations.
I hate complaining in the forum because I dont think it helps matters in the long run but lately I have found voicing concerns to admin is a total waste of time.
Quickly running out of patience with it all.

Thankfully I have enough to go round of any of my things if this happens - except my books - which I will check.
Thanks for letting us know.

Its hard when you sell 'one off' items as you have to explain to the buyer about what has happened, sooo embarassing. I do regular checks now, as its hard to keep track when you have hundreds of listings.

Recently sold something that was listed at least 18 months ago and sold around that time , it was a very old listing with no template which is not the way I have been listing for ages at least 12 months .
Spend flipping hours looking for the item

I had sort of the opposite occur last night. I was going through deleting photos of my sold items in Photobucket. Just to double check before deleting, I checked both my Selling list and Unsold list. If the item wasn't in either list, I deleted the photos.
Then I happened to go and physically check if something I had deleted had really been sold ,because I couldn't remember selling it, and discovered not one but two similar items that I had assumed had been sold as neither had appeared in my lists but I in fact still possessed. So I had to redo the listings again. I have no idea how the listings disappeared, as I either use Auto list until sold, or use Sell Similar if I can do it in time. Where did the listings go? And how many others have disappeared?
The thought of doing a stocktake is overwhelming (I have over 1500 items for sale), but I can see I am going to have to do it. At least in baby steps.

Has happened to me as well. One was a new member and his first purchase as well which was hard explaining it without making it sound like the site always has problems. There were a lot of comments in the forums at the time so actually asked buyer to have a look so he wouldn't think it was an excuse from me .
cheers

The same thing happened to me just a few days ago. The buyer bought 2, but I only had 1. When I checked, the other 1 had sold months ago.
Luckily my buyer was a really lovely lady and very understanding, but it was very embarrassing.

Just got back home...I better get myself busy going through my listings. So many replies to this thread...seems the problem is more common than I realised. I might need to shoot Admin and email, with a link to this thread, so they can see how widespread the problem is

Yes, I have had both the problems, listings re-appearing and listings vanishing! Both very difficult to detect when you have 3300 listings!

I try to dump all my listings at least every 12 months and start again from scratch - a bit of a pain with around 1000 items but solves the problem of disappearing listings :)

I am seriously thinking of reducing my listings from the present 650 to around 300 which will probably be a bit easier to manage with all the problems with the site.
Theory is that half the listings would be half as stressful.

I dont feel so bad now as the same sort of thing happened to me in the last few days as well. An item that has been sold for months suddenly turned up for sale again and was sold. Just waiting for the buyer to contact me back with their banking details so I can return their payment.
Seems that embarrassment is the order of the day.
Another red face here

may I make a suggestion, just list one item at a time, no multiples. You could mention in your listing how many you have and when one sells, use Sell Similar to re-list it and change how many you have left.

I have had some sales today of items I have multiples of and all have relisted successfully with pics intact so maybe the techs have fixed the problem.
