Can't wait for tonights swimming finals to see if Skippy finally wins a gold medal.

Watching the women's cycling has certainly caused a few giggles around my household lol.

It's a pity that the crowds at the events aren't better.  How sad that they spent all that money building these wonderful stadiums and there's hardly anyone there :(

I think a lot of the blame for poor crowds can be placed at the foot of the media.  Don't get me started with them.  Also the average citizen of India could only dream of being able to attend any event at the games.  It is such a shame, as it could have been so beneficial to India's economy, but so many who would have gone, didn't.  All because of scare tactics.

There is usually a huge contingent of Aussie supporters at Commonwealth/Olympic games, they are sadly missing at this one.

This year seems to be low key on tv or am I missing something. There was heaps of warnings on media of travel and saying things weren't finished etc, and suddenly then I am hearing we have won gold medals. I must admit, I don't take a lot of notice of tv, but my hubby to be is a huge sport fan and he hasn't even been tuning in so I didn't realise it had started until ages later!
Cause I normally do watch the commonwealth games when I know they have actually started!!

Commonwealth Games ratings have halved, only pulling 500,000 viewers.
I'm not surprised, I haven't watched any of it and don't really care.

The swimmers have done so well.  I  feel so happy for Geoff Huegill, what a great story, he has always been a favorite of mine.

Congratulations Geoff Huegill.

72 Gold, 169 all up. Wtg Oz.

Love the way in the road events (cycling, marathon) the only people you saw were the competitors and the occassional security guard.
