"Advice from the veteran traders request"
Hello again pro's
Do any of you guy's have any ideas on how i can get my movies closer to the top of the page where they belong?
I keep getting super seated by more expensive, lower quality and much more expensive sellers who are DROP SHIPPING.....
oh and did i mention the extraaaa longgggg delivery before you get the inferior product??
I have tried to email quicksales with this question and funny enough this seems to be the only question that goes unnoticed!

I think one can use a shorter listing duration with automatic relisting - that way your items get to the top more often, but I don't know if that is the correct answer.

Please gong me if it isn't - LOL !

annieoakley2000  is correct, list for a 3 day duration with auto relist and every 3 days they should go to the top of the list.

BTW If the opposition irks you that much, you can always add a positive note in your description or postage section, such as:

our items are in stock for immediate delivery

that way you feel better and still remain professional ...............

You could even use  annieoakley2000 's suggestion in the sub title

Good luck

You could try one of these options too -

Also to help your sales a little bit more - maybe a better description of the movie might help, most people would know the movies you have, but some might not.

Feature listings are a great way to get your items noticed.. And yep.. Let people know the positives about why they should shop with you.. Not tJe negatives about yr competition. It's
It only unprofessional but against forum rules

Hi,

Just had a look at your listings.  I think your prices are really reasonable esp your 3 disc Bluray, Dvd & Digital ones.  These sell in JB's here in Perth for around $30 - 40 still.

I would DEFINITELY do a larger description so its easier to read and mention that the postage is free as I was quite surprised to find that when I looked.

Good luck.

Cheers, Ang..

I am trying to work out how you arrived at this figure because basic RP is $3.05:
Registered post please add $4.00

Thanks for that i will look into the description size as it has been mentioned a few times!
Im really not sure about the description though, i'm not that literate on the iMac and i pretty much stick to the newer releases as there is just no profit in older flicks these days.
I guess once i learn about copy and paste options it should be quite easy....

G'day echo, RP is a waste of my time for my products!
What i do find interesting though is that you ask about the cost of RP as i charge more than it costs (incidentally the reason is to discourage it's use)
But yet you don't mention the cost of Express post when i absorb a portion of the cost?
Replied by echo333 on 30-Dec-2011 12:36 (Ref 2326593) Report
As I rarely use Express Post, usually because the buyers are not in the Next Day Delivery Zone, therefore I am not familiar with express post prices except for satchels.
I just hope that your tactic to discourage Registered Post doesn't also discourage sales.
Profiting from the various postage options is not a good look IMO.
But to each his own :)

If you spread your listings out over the day (by scheduling), and list for 3-day duration, you'll have at least something coming up in ending soonest more often and get yourself seen a bit more.

Express post and reg'd post - people will notice the negative stuff more than the positive.  One doesn't outweigh the other, the way most people see it.

If it's no more bother to you to post something using reg'd mail, offer it anyway - you'll find most people won't want it so there's not really a lot of need to discourage it.  You can always stop offering it by not ticking the relevant boxes.  That would look better than over-pricing it.  It's taken me two years to use a box of 50 prepaid stickers and I've posted a lot of parcels in that time.  99% of the registered ones had a value over $50 and quite a few of them were satchels worth $200 - $300.

I post on here for this precise reason, that is to understand the type of audience watching!!!
Thanks again Decision made, i no longer offer RP as i agree with rerrabbits comment...
echoe most people accept as is or the Express post option, no one has ever asked for RP, so i'm in the process of deleting this option as well as changing the auction time to 3 days in the hope of getting closer to the top of the page as advised.
Thanks again, much appreciated for all your input and suggestions
