What is the story about Danielle?

Danielle Joan Boothby was born in Feb 2011 & died in March from brain Cancer. I don't have children and this wont happen to me- I have 18 nieces & nephews who are having kids- Danielle was the baby of one of my nieces , Jenny Brown. and her partner Reece Boothby. If you google Danielle's Difference ( which is the name of how my niece collects for the childrens cancer institute of australia) the entire story is there but be aware it's VERY upsetting to read and watch the video. The CCIA issues a document allowing certain people to collect on their behalf. I ( naturally) have one for Danielles dream otherwise admin wouldn't have allowed this :-) Danielle APPEARED healthy for 2 weeks and then she started crying and they took her to the local hospital. a nurse who had been on duty when she was born noted her head was bigger. They flew her by helicopter to Westmead childrens ward - they did brain scans and found cancer so bad- it not able to operate. They said she wouldn't make the night - she lived another 11 days. The death was horrible and no one should go through this- I never knew children can be born with cancer- NEVER KNEW & didn't know 1 in 20 get cancer ! ( kids !! Cancer - one in twenty ??? it STUNS me every time I say it ! ) Naturally not all die - but some, like Danielle - do :-(

My niece is pregnant again and so far so good :-) The doctors say it's a one in a million this will happen to my family again- but, it will happen to other families - The photos are of Danielle. that is her - she was less than one month old. If you go to the shopping events - there's a thread there with some links. To date my niece has collect $20,000 for Childrens Cancer research in Danielles name :-)
